CRC-IL is a voluntary, charitable, nonprofit advocacy and service organization. It is the Illinois chapter of the national Children's Rights Council. We are a statewide group of concerned parents committed to improving responsiveness to the needs of children of divorce and separation in Illinois. We are not about "fathers rights" or "parents rights", but we are about 'children's rights', as stated in Illinois law since 1984: "Illinois recognizes the right of every child to the physical, mental, emotional, and monetary support or his or her parents..." (750 ILCS 45/1.1) We are led by a volunteer Board of Directors who receive advisement from professionals and experts in the divorce and family sector. Our directors live in the Chicagoland area and in downstate Illinois. We are non-political and non-religious. Our board includes men and women, representing a mixture of ethnicities and cultures, non-resident and resident parents, step-parents and biological parents. We have one thing in common: We are committed to constructive remedies that will facilitate and incentivize parents to "put the kids first", engage in co-parenting and work toward shared parenting solutions for their children. If you would like to support our programs aimed at Partnership Parenting, Co-Parenting, and Shared Parenting solutions for children, please contact us at 312-869-9310 or email:
